SOLIVIS has closed a $16.0M Series C round, with backing from Openwater Investment and Seulgi Asset Management. The funding arrives as the company pushes forward on its core bet: sulfide-based solid electrolytes, a technology it sees as central to next-generation energy storage.
The South Korea-based firm, which says 65% of its staff are in R&D, has been developing its own proprietary solid electrolyte materials rather than licensing existing approaches. That technical focus is the pitch to investors, and the company has set an ambitious target of becoming the global leader in solid electrolytes by 2030. The new capital will go toward sustaining that R&D push as it works to scale its technology for future battery systems and electric mobility applications.
