Helion, the Everett, WA-based fusion power company, has secured $750.0M in new funding as it accelerates its mission to build the world's first fusion power plant. The capital infusion underscores growing confidence in the company's ambitious goal of enabling a future with unlimited clean electricity.
This latest investment brings Helion's total capital raised since its 2013 founding to over $1 billion. The company, which previously saw backing from investors including Sam Altman, Mithril, and SoftBank, recently reported its Trenta prototype completed 10,000 high-power pulses and reached plasma temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius, now turning its focus to the Polaris project.
